Insurance

I am an in-network provider with Aetna, Horizon, Independence BlueCross BlueShield, Amerihealth, Cigna, United HealthCare, and Quest Behavioral Health. Additionally, I am also in-network with the following EAP plans: Lyra Health and Health Advocate. If you are a member of any of these insurance plans, your insurance will be billed and you will be responsible for paying any associated copay at the time of service and meeting any remaining deductible from your plan.

For all other health insurances, I am considered an out-of-network provider. What this means is you are responsible for the full fee at the time of your appointment and I can provide you with a receipt (also called a Superbill) for you to give to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

It is your responsibility to be knowledgeable and up-to-date on all of your health insurance benefits. I would suggest calling the number on the back of your insurance card prior to scheduling an appointment to verify your mental health benefits. Some questions to ask your insurance company when you call:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible and has it been met for the year?
  • How many sessions per year does insurance cover?
  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
  • What is the amount my plan covers for each session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Rates

Sessions are 55-minute sessions at $150.

All payments are due at the time of service. I accept cash, check, HSA/FSA, and all major credit cards.

No Show/Late Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you call with AT LEAST 24hrs notice prior to your appointment. If you cancel with less than 24hrs notice or fail to show for your appointment, a no show/late cancellation fee of $75 will be charged.

This is because when I schedule an appointment with you, I reserve that time just for us and, therefore, I cannot offer it to anyone else. Cancelling on such short notice does not allow me enough time to offer that time slot to someone else and may result in someone else not being able to make an appointment.

That being said, I also understand that illness and emergencies happen. If you are sick or have an emergency (weather emergencies included), you will not be charged the fee. Also, if you would like to reschedule your appointment for another time during the week AND I also have a time available, I will waive the fee.

Reduced Fee

I understand that it may be difficult for some to afford my full fee. In an effort to make it more affordable for those who do not have financial resources or out-of-network benefits, I offer a few reduced-fee appointment times at $85. These are early afternoon appointment times. Please contact me for a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if any of these times are available.
